Ticket Market Watch: NLDS Dodgers vs. Braves and Pirates vs. Cardinals

The Wild Card games have come and gone in just a quick couple of days and already the National League Division Series are starting this evening. This series is a best-of-five series, so it’s very unlikely to see  secondary market ticket sales as high as they were in the one game Wild Card games. Even so, tickets for tonight’s opener for a new series should still be a hot commodity.

Pittsburgh Pirates @ St. Louis Cardinals 5:07 PM EST

St. Louis had one of the best home attendance records in the MLB this season. Busch Stadium has a capacity of 43,975, which was 94.6% full on average this season. That’s 41,602 fans on average for all 81 home games. Second average attendance in the majors behind only San Francisco. Pretty impressive. Games will no doubt sellout for all Cards games this postseason. Here is what the market looks like for tonight*:

Low Price: $19

High Price: $202

Average Price: $58

LA Dodgers @ Atlanta Braves 8:37 PM EST

Atlanta had the second best record in the National League this season, one game behind the Cardinals. Even with that record though they could only muster the thirteen highest average attendance out of all major league teams at 31,465.  Here is what the market looks like for tonight*:

Low Price: $20

High Price: $427

Average Price: $63
