TIXERS’ EDITOR NOTE: This is a very insightful article that all readers and sports fans should take a look at, especially NFL season ticket holders. In 2011 the NFL had it’s lowest attendance in nearly 10 years, after posted record highs just four years earlier in 2007.
A lot of analyst have speculated why this has occured, coming up with many reasons: TV packages offering all games, ticket prices being too high, fantasy football is becoming more and more popular, and in addition the plethora of reasons – the gameday experience has gone down. This article examines the last issues as it states in the articles subheader, “it’s increasingly unpleasant stadium experience – a profanity-laced keg party in the upper deck – that drove me back to the couch”
