The Red Sox are currently leading the World Series 3 games to 2, and for the first time since 1918 the city of Boston has a chance to win the World Series at home, which means ticket prices are soaring for the chance to see it in person. The Boston Red Sox ended the curse of the Bambino in 2004. They won it all again in 2007. Both series with 4-0 sweeps, and both series clinching wins happened on the road. According to TiqIQ, the average ticket price for Wednesday’s game is $2,157.
The cheapest ticket is a Standing Room Only ticket on the third base line, currently being sold at $814. Here is the location of the ticket highlighted in blue according to SeatGeek:
The most expensive tickets are right next to the Red Sox dugout going for $11,552 a piece. Here is another screen shot of SeatGeek to show where that seat is:
Needless to say, no matter where you’re sitting (or standing), if you make it into game six on Wednesday you’re most likely going to be paying plenty for tickets. Just don’t get kicked out for throwing a paper airplane like someone most likely did in Game 5.
