There are some heavyweight collaboration tours this summer in the rap and hip-hop game. Jay-Z and Beyoncé have their On The Run tour, which hits Cincy on June 28th at Great American. There is the Monster Tour, headlined by Eminem and Rihanna. But the one tour that is selling for more than both on the secondary market is from rap legend Lil Wayne and the hottest artist in the past year, Drake. According to TiqIQ, the Drake vs. Lil Wayne tour is averaging a price of $249.20 on the secondary market from brokers and pre-sales, which is 6.4% higher than the price of an On The Run ticket.
The duo who are both from the same label founded by Lil Wayne, Young Money Entertainment, will be in Cincinnati at Riverbend August 15th. Tickets for the concert go on sale to the general public today starting at 7:00PM. Lil Wayne was in Cincinnati last August on the America’s Most Wanted Tour which featured T.I. and Two Chains.
As for the three megastar tours, here are the numbers of an average ticket on the secondary market:
Drake vs. Lil Wayne – $249.20
Jay-Z and Beyoncé – $234.16
Eminem and Rihanna- $217.81
