6 Things To Do In Cincinnati This Weekend: 8/1-8/3

1. Lumenocity 


Last year, Lumenocity made its debut in Cincinnati and it was one of the most talked about spectacles of the year. The one of the kind show takes place in Washington Park and features a full orchestra playing under a huge screen that produces amazing imagery via a light show. Honestly, words don’t do it justice. See the above clip, or better yet…go see it yourself this weekend! Here are the deets-

2. Cincy Blues Fest

The two-day Blues Festival that takes place down at Sawyer Point starts this Friday and will feature artists like:Selwyn Birchwood, Jarekus Singleton, Dana Fuchs and Jimmy D. Rogers. Sonny Moorman, Tom Ball and Kenny Sultan, The Kilborn Alley Blues Band and Guy Forsyth.

Bunbury kicked off festival season down at Sawyer Point with the indie vibe, then the Buckle Fest brought the country, now Cincy Blues Fest is bringing the jazz and soulful music to Cincy.

3. Craft Beer Series & Music at Findlay Market:


Findlay Market’s Craft Beer Series brings a guest brewery to the market’s OTR Biergarten each week. This Saturday and Sunday, it’s Blank Slate, which will have representatives on site and will serve two of its beers alongside the bier gaten’s regular selection of Christian Moerlein brews. On Sunday, there will be live music by Hayden Kaye.

4. The Color Run


Dress in white and get doused with color at each kilometer as you run the Color Run, an untimed 5K. The post-race Finish Festival offers music, dancing and color throws.

Details: 6 a.m. Saturday check-in party begins; race starts 8 a.m. Longworth Hall Parking Lot, 700 W Pete Rose Way, Downtown. (Pre-race check-in parties/packet pickup 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday-Friday, Great American Ball Park, 100 Joe Nuxhall Way, Downtown.) $50 per person team of four; $55 per person individual.

5. Neon Splash Paint Party @ Bogarts on Friday

NEONSPLASH  “Europe’s Largest Paint-Party” – combines electronic dance music, the biggest international DJs, breathtaking production design, exhilarating artistry and performance, truth defying special effects, and thousands of liters of neon-paint into one unique mindblowing experience.

6. Sam Adams Brew & View in Eden Park

Samuel Adams Brew & View is hosting a summer party with cold beer, lawn games, food trucks, and live music! When the sun goes down, Wedding Crashers will start up on an HD screen for a hilarious movie night under the stars.
