College Football’s Games of the Week: 8/28-9/1

FINALLY! The week has come at last! Football is back! Now, I’m sure for all of you fans pining for this moment you’ve most likely been checking the latest news on your team, maybe ordered some fresh gear for the new season, and most likely circled/highlighted/made countless alerts for when your team plays. Therefore you don’t need much of a reminder when kickoff is each week for your team. But, if you want to take a peak at some of the other marquee games this week, or if you just can’t get enough college football, we made a list of the College Football Games of the Week especially for you.

Since it’s the first game of the week we have big match-ups on Thursday- like SEC titans #21 Texas A&M at #9 South Carolina, and Monday- when the high-profile Miami Hurricanes come to Louisville to face new(ish) coach Bobby Petrino and his Cardinals.

The other match-ups can be seen on the normal day of college football, Saturday. We get to see our first sight of the #1 ranked team, defending champions, with returning Heisman Trophy winner: the Florida St. Seminoles led by sophomore quarterback famous Jameis Winston. They take on unranked but always dangerous Oklahoma St. at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Playing in another professional stadium in Texas is #13 LSU vs. #14 Wisconsin for a game that will have serious implications for the SEC, BIG 10, and inaugural College Football Playoff. They will be playing at NRG Stadium, home of the Houston Texans.

Last, but not least is a another cross division game pitting the #16 ranked Clemson Tigers of the ACC against the #12 Georgia Bulldogs of the SEC, played in Georgia. It’s sure to be a great opening week for college football, and I for one am happy we finally made it there!
