6. University of Cincinnati Homecoming Game vs. Miami (OH)
| @ Nibbert Stadium | Friday | 7PM |
The Bearcats are opening at Nippert Stadium after kicking off the season last week against Toledo at Paul Brown Stadium, and they’re doing it once again on a Friday night. The Bearcats are favored by 28 points (in some books) so it looks like it will be a happy Homecoming in Clifton.
Fans can look at this game as a way to gear up for next week though as the Bearcats head to Columbus to face the Buckeyes and head coach Urban Meyer. Meyer actually recruited UC’s star QB, Gunner Kiel, out of high school before he ultimately chose Notre Dame. Since then Gunner transferred to UC, and Urban has been watching him ever since. He went for 418 yards and 6 TD’s against Toledo.

| @ Bogart’s | Friday | 7PM |
For all you ladies who are still in love with The Backstreet Boys and New Kids On The Block, you’re in luck because Nick Carter and Jordan Knight are bringing their Nick & Knight Tour to Bogart’s Friday night.
The two former boy-banders recently released their own album, under the same name as their tour, that feature 10 new tracks. For those still interested in their older work, I’d say it’s a very good possibilities that play some of the hits as well as the new stuff.
2. Cincinnati Bengals vs. Tennessee Titans
| @ Paul Brown Stadium | Sunday | 1PM |
The Bengals are hot right now, so hot that this very own highly read and sought after blog ranked them #2 in our week 3 power rankings. They play the Titans (1-1) this week, who beat the Chiefs decisively and got trounced by the Cowboys in consecutive weeks. Even though the Bengals are riding high their biggest concern is in star wideout AJ Green.
Green left the game last week after the first quarter and did not return due to a foot injury. The injury was diagnosed as a sprained ligament in his foot, and head coach Marvin Lewis said he doesn’t see this as a long-term injury. For his sake, and the Bengals offensive productions sake, let’s hope AJ gets healthy quick.
1. Oktoberfest Zinzinnati
| @ Downtown | Fri/Sat/Sun | 5-12PM/11AM-12PM/11AM-10PM
The biggest party of the year if finally here in Cincy! Oktoberfest downtown has always been a Cincinnati treasure that brings in more than half a million visitors each year. The fest lasts all weekend long and has some of the most popular events as it always does, like: The Running of the Wieners (100 wiener dogs race 75 ft for chance to be the winner), The Worlds Largest Chicken Dance, Annual World Bratwurst Eating Championship (featuring defending champ, Joey Chestnut), the Sam Adams Stein Hoisting Championship, and plenty more good times. Oh, and did I mention the beer?
Last year Oktoberfest brought 1.6 million oz. of beer to visitors, an event that is hosted by Sam Adams Brewery, and this year they will have sixteen different brewery tents with over 50 different beers to choose from. As we get closer to the fest I’ll have a more in-depth blog on all things Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, but until then mark your calendars and get your lederhosens ready!
Oh and here is a map of downtown and the street closings for everyone driving in.
